Rewind

Oops! I spoke to soon and was far too optimistic about these men’s scarves. 

I had serious problems with the warp tension (the long vertical scarf threads) No option but to unwind and rewind. Must admit I was feeling a little annoyed with myself at this point when all there was to show for so many hours work was a pile of black threads on the floor. 

  
It was a lesson in patience, so after a few hours of fiddling about, re-threading the whole thing and making endless adjustments on the loom, I was off again. 

Here is the re-start of some pleasing weaving. Merino and silk – one of my favourite combinations.
