I sooo love it when the latest VAV magazine issue arrives in my mailbox. I saved this one for a little while before diving in – and am so pleased I did. Because now I can savour it and read every word from cover to cover whilst sitting by the fire at the Mussel Inn, Golden Bay! Just perfect.
I love the editorial content , weaving projects, and even the loom &yarn advertisements.
I especially love to learn about what the traditional and cutting edge weaving studios are up to around the world. There is always really fascinating mix of stories like how Tutankhamen’s curved collar piece was woven; and this one about a group of partially sighted people hand weaving a woolen sail cloth for a Viking ship.
