…and a little Christmas luxury.
I’ve been interested in Shibori for a long time and would love to one day hand weave a piece that gets transformed using this ancient pleating, binding and dyeing method.
In the meantime, I sourced some fine, plain silk scarves and started practising. Definitely need to master a more methodical pleating technique, but I think there is potential for further fun/experimenting.
I really love the intensity of colour on the lightweight, shimmery silk – my favourite is the green/jade one which is also a large circular infinity scarf. These are ‘one-of-a-kind’, have just been delivered to The little Beehive Co-op range and between $55-$70 each.
